leaderboard Ranking and Tiers

All active guilds are ranked based on their ATG Points. This ranking is divided into several tiers, each representing a level of prestige and skill. Your position in these tiers determines who you can challenge and the stakes of each match.

Elite (Ranks 1-3)
Contenders (Ranks 4-10)
Aspirants (Ranks 11-20)
Division 1 (Ranks 21-30)
Division 2 (Ranks 31-40)
Division 3 (Ranks 41-50)
Unranked (Ranks 51+)

swords Issuing and Receiving Challenges

The heart of the ATG league lies in its challenges. Only Guild Masters can issue and respond to challenges.

  • Challenge Rules: A guild can challenge another guild from its tier or a higher tier. It is impossible to challenge a guild from a lower tier, with one exception: guilds from the Elite tier can challenge those from the Contenders tier.
  • Date Proposals: The challenger must propose 3 dates for the match. One of these dates must mandatorily be a Saturday or a Sunday.
  • Wager: Every challenge involves a Pang wager deducted from the guild treasury. The amount is set by the tier of the guild being challenged. This wager is committed by the challenger when the challenge is issued.
  • Expiration: A challenged guild has 7 days to accept or decline a challenge. After this period, the challenge is considered expired, and the wager is refunded to the challenger.

Staying at the top requires constant activity. A guild that has not played any official ATG league match for over 30 days will suffer a drastic point penalty, calculated as a percentage of its current points. This penalty is more severe the higher the guild's rank.

Guild Tier Inactivity Penalty
Elite 25% of their current points
Contenders 20% of their current points
Aspirants 15% of their current points
Division 1 10% of their current points
Division 2 8% of their current points
Division 3 5% of their current points
Unranked 2% of their current points

check_circle Match Resolution

The results of played matches are automatically detected by the system. A match is considered valid if it is played between the two concerned guilds within a time window around the agreed-upon date.

  • Determining the Winner: The winner is determined by (1) the match points, then (2) the Pangs earned in case of a point tie. If everything is identical, the match is declared a Draw and wagers are refunded.
  • Wager Payout: The winner of the match wins the entire pot (their wager + their opponent's wager).
